Terrasse du Printemps!

When in Paris, a sight not to be missed would be a panoramic view of the city. There are several places where you can view la ville lumière from above (Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame, Tour Montparnasse, Sacre-Coeur, Arc de Triomphe, Centre Georges Pompidou). My personal favourite would be from the Arc de Triomphe, because all the twelve avenues departing from Place de l'Etoile can be seen, and also from the centre Georges Pompidou, because I love the view of the Parisian rooftops in different hues of grey (and the little smoke coming out if you can picture it!).

On our last day in Paris, maman decided to do some last-minute shopping at Printemps. So, I took the opportunity to check out the panoramic view from le grand magasin. It was love at first sight!

The view is, of course, breathtaking (can any view from Paris be anything less?!). The self-service eatery (one of the cheapest for the view, methinks!) is also great and the plants that decorated the seating areas add a nice touch of greenery.

It might be a bit difficult to locate the terrace, though, as Printemps Haussmann consists of three buildings. What you would need to do is to go to the building that houses the cosmetics and home department. From there, take the elevator to the 8th floor and then take the escalator to the 9th floor and voila! you're in panoramic heaven! ;)

Definitely planning for a return trip to the lovely terrace. The only thing I'll be doing differently next time is that I'll, first, buy my food from Cojean, which can be located at the underground level of Printemps (I love their selection of salads, soups, and sweet treats). Then, I'll have myself a small picnic on the rooftop terrace. C'est Parfait, non?! ;)

(all pictures are taken from the terrace!)
